So I have been working in my free time, which is rare these days, to completing the b2 Gallery stuff. I now can upload images, create albums, populate the albums and add comments (both for the albums and the pictures). I am going to release it as a beta sometime next week. I have a list of additional functionality which I am going to work on once I have the beta up. The functionality includes mailing list for update to the site, image resizing and blog updates based on album category and type. I will include this in the following releases once I have the bugs worked out of the beta.

So if you are planning on moving your central controller from one location to another, please make sure that you keep them on the same vlan or aleast provide a static route for the private connection. I just recently had move our Arlingtion, Texas central controller from our Call Center to our Data center. This was a painful process due to vlan issues. Always make sure you talk to you lan team to cordinate the move.
Also, there is an issue where the ICM Router (A or B) with the DES encrypted DLL. Make sure that you copy the correct copy into your /ICR/bin directory before starting the system. If you get an error saying that “DES encryption is disabled” you will then get a “StopShut” message. Simply go back to your backup system and copy the corrent DLL into the directory and this will correct this problem.

I have been running around like a crazy man lately. I have so busy but not at the same time. I mean that I have been crazy with work and other things. I have been working when I can on the b2 Gallery mod, but I did not except to have so much work to do with my job. It is interesting, now that I am in a IT Sys Admin position, how busy I can be. I am attempting to do two jobs at once. First, I am maintaining a ICM large duplexed production environment. Secondly, I am developing with their in house team a web based CRM product with screen pops. This seems to be something I will never be able to escape. I am really glad that I was able to work with CTI so long ago (1999) becuase it has give me an opportunity to have job stability. I get at least 2 phone calls and 5 emails a week looking for someone with my experience. I guess that is not too bad in economy. I really wish that everyone could have the luck that I am having, I really wish the economy would pick itself off the floor and start moving. All I can say is that we have such a moron in the office of President. I just can’t believe that the electoral college elected him, it was obvious that the people didn’t. Anyway, enough of my bitchin’.. Time for me to get back to work and then go home and read some Milton.

Carolyn and I went to the Cirque de Soleil in San Jose. It was so beautiful. The performers where just amazing. We had pretty good seat, I just had a guy with an very large cranium in front of me the whole time. It just wasn’t that his head was big, but his hair was also large. Plus on top of that, his girlfriend was all over him, and he kept moving his noggin next to her. It was really annoying. Well, enough about that.
We also had a great weekend to hanging out and driving around. Other than that we just took it easy.
