So Carolyn and I just won a bid on our first house this weekend. It is a small house but with some killer features. Every house that was in our price range needed a lot of work. Every house we looked at need work in some way, I was always looking at the house and saying that we could do this and that… down the road. All I know is that I didn’t want to have to put a lot of effort into our first house, I have a very busy job and I am work a lot, so I just wanted to relax. Well… This house that we are trying to buy has been completely redone over the past year and the couple who owns it has to move to Chicago.. so we are getting basically a brand new house in our price range. I am very excited and scared all at the same time.

All I can say is that I want to go for a flight now. Scaled Composites’s SpaceShipOne is the beginning of a new cheaper era of space travel. One of the biggest problems with NASA is the cost. It is a government agency. Once private companies get into the game it should be a different story. The X-Prize my soon be won. I just want to go for a ride one day to the edge of space, even for a brief 5 minutes, before I die. I want experience that feeling once…. Later, Bill

Thanks guys for showing me my little security issue that I had with my blog. When I first saw what they did I had a heart failure that someone would actually take the time out of their day to hack into my little blog. That was my mistake and should have taken care of it. I have to say that it was a pretty good joke that they pulled and I should saved the entry into my blog.. it was really funny. Well any way.. back to my daily grind.

Now, Normally I wouldn’t get excited about a Ford, especially a Mustang, but this car is great. I was always a fan of the 65-68 Mustangs, I think it comes from the TV show “Spenser for Hire” when he had the 65 Mustang not the crap 88 Mustang that he drove later in the series. I think between the Thunderbird and this new 40th Anniversary Mustang they are finally getting somewhere.

I have been very happy, I finally got the Second Season of the British TV show Spaced. I have been waiting to get it for awhile. Once again though, it is in PAL format so I have convert it to NTSC. I really should get a region free dvd player, but I don’t mind the convertion. It is a pretty slow process to rip the VOB file off the DVD, convert that to AVI and WAV then convert it to Video-CD NTSC MPEG. The show is worth it though, it has to be one of the best TV shows ever. I am also ordering the entire series of the anime show “Starblazers”, once again an amazing show.
There is a great article of building your own Linux Media Jukebox. Maybe that would be a good solution to my region problem. hmmmmmmmmm…
