Here are some raw photos of my trip to Ireland. I just thought about posting some images. I have many more to do but here are some. I made some trips to Malahide Castle, Dublin Castle, “The Summit” and all around Dublin. I had a chance to have a pint at the Brazen Head (est. 1198) and walk and walk and walk. I really love it here. It is a beautiful place and the people are amazing. I will be back here again in about a month, so I will see some more sites when I get back.

So, I have been in Dublin for a week now and I have finally gotten used to the time zone. The first couple of days were pretty rough, sleeping was pretty much about 2 hours at time. The work I am doing here is going well and the people I am working with are wonderful. I have only had a chance to really go into Dublin twice but both times have been really cool. I am going to go travel around Dublin and the country side today. The Irish are the most wonderful people I have every been around and we Americans can learn a thing or two about ourselves. I will post more later about the place and things I have done but I have to run now.
P.S. here is a funny link Alex had this post about UI Minimalism, this is what happens when it goes crazy.

I am at the Airport right now waiting for my 10 hour flight to London. I am pretty excited about going but I am really going to miss Liam and Carolyn during this time away. I am working with IBM over there, this should be interesting. I will be using my new T-Mobile BlackBerry 7100t over there. I should be able to get all my BlackBerry services, I will be able to email and IM all I want. As long as I select the correct carrier I should be OK. Ireland’s Meteor has .99 a min for Voice and free internet and text messages. I will also get a Ireland phone with a prepaid SIM for local calls. It should be a blast when I get there. I brought my Canon along for the ride and will post some pictures when I have some. I plan on renting a car, so I can go take some pictures of the Irish countryside. I will also be using Skype while while I am over there. This should also cut down on some costs for my travels. Well, It is off to my Virgin flight. I am really happy that I traveling with them. It looks alot more comfortable. Oh, I am also 5 days smoking free. That should also make the flight easier.

Ok, this has to be the worst review of a Mac Mini ever. I just can not believe that this guy, Jorge Lopez, has the offical title of ” Chief Software Reviewer at Divisiontwo.com’s Technology Insider”. This has to be some sort of joke. If it is then it is really funny, if it is not then it is really sad. I mean here are just a few snippets:
“The Mini boots up into a stripped-down operating system which Apple calls OS X, similar to the stripped-down WindowsCE OS found on many handhelds.”
“The OS X comes with some system maintenance utilities, but essentials such as a defragmenter or a or registry cleaner are notably absent. ”
“My Office 2003 CD would not install, despite claims I had heard from Mac fanboys that OS X is compatible with Office. Heck, the Internet Explorer icon isn’t even out on the taskbar by default, it’s buried in the c:\applications folder”
“ut will Apple’s famous marketing team be able to sell the the emperor an invisible computer anyway and turn the mini into a maxi hit? That’s the question that remains to be answered.”
I am in the process of writting him an email and his editor. This may expalin it, “Jorge Lopez is a DeVry graduate with an MCSE certification and is currently the Chief Software Reviewer at Divisiontwo.com’s Technology Insider.”
