Well, I haven’t been able to update my Blog in a while because I have been out of range. Carolyn, Liam and I are getting ready to come back from New Hampshire. It has been a great visit and it has been wonderful to are all of our family and friends. We have been very fortunate except the weather has been pretty crappy. I will post some pictures when I get back home.

So I am going to go and pickup a Mac mini today. I was listen and using my Linux box this morning and it sounds like crap. The other thing I have been thinking about is the power consumption of my linux box. It has a 300 watt power supply to power it and the Mac mini only consumes about 20 watts. It is the equivalent of a laptop. This is amazing and during the summe months will save me some serious cash. Plus there is that geek thing I have going for cool gadgets. I was at Fry’s yesterday and it was so cool. It was hooked up to an Apple 20 LCD and it looked so good. I will purchase the mini and then I will think about the monitor.
On a side note I really am enjoying blogging from my BlackBerry. I am sitting on the couch and watching TV. I don’t have to bust out the laptop and more and I wonder why I haven’t done this sooner.

Carolyn went out this evening to celebrate her birthday. Though her birthday isn’t until next week we are going to be back in New Hampshire. So her friends wanted to take her rollerskating tonight. She should have a great time. Liam and I are going to hang out and have some father and son time. I really love the time when just him and I get to do that. My grandfather and I used to hang out like this, seeing how I have never met my real father. I want to be the kind of father that I never had and the father that my grandfather was. I really wish my grandfather was alive so he could are liam and myself and how we turned out. He was a great man and know he would be proud.

This was an important feature for my blog. I have wanted to post from my Clie for a while. I still love my TH55. The new Palm LifeDrive is very similar except it has a 4GB harddrive with no camera. I am going to update my wordpress mail with one that allows photographs. Well I hope this works.

I am slowly watching my linux box which is hosting this site die. It has been a great box and has done a great may things but the old girl is starting to show her age. I have this box for about 5 years now and it has had many different version of linux on it and run many different application. It has been hosting Bcmanning.com for 4 years now in its many forms but I think it is reaching the end of days. I am starting to look for possible replacments. I really hosting my site and I am considering getting a Mac Mini to do the job. It is much smaller than my current box and way faster. The noise level will be less and it is new. I am going to get one I think and it would also consume less power and I could just hide it on my desk under my monitor stand. Hmmmm
