I am testing my new setup at work. I am using my Powerbook connected to a Dell 20″ LCD wide aspect screen. This configuration is solid. It allows me to code on the Dell screen and have my javadocs opened below on the Powerbook. I can alternately have the debug window running Eclipse on the Dell and the process running on the Powerbook display. This allows me to effectively work with have to alternate between windows. This is great. I was inspired by Davey’s Screen Trifecta and it made sense. I am only doing it with two screens but the speed of development has increased. I must also say that because I work with Java the portablity aspect allows me to code in comfort on the Powerbook and drop the file on to a Windows box or Linux or any other *nix flavor. I am extremely happy.
